CelluXtreme’s Team – Tanja Paul, material analytics and development production

Tanja brings curiosity, laboratory precision and a strong interest in sustainable materials to CelluXtreme’s mission of pioneering materials. In a recent interview, Tanja shares her motivation to apply laboratory skills in practical material development while studying biomedicine at Karolinska Institutet.

Tanja’s interest in sustainable materials and hands-on laboratory work led her to CelluXtreme, where she supports material performance analytics and production. Coming from a biomedical background, Tanja is used to thinking about complex systems, careful testing and how small details can influence larger outcomes. This perspective fits well with CelluXtreme’s development work, where material performance needs to be understood, measured and improved step by step.

“What interests me is how laboratory work can contribute to something practical,” says Tanja. “At CelluXtreme, I get to apply my skills in a field where sustainability, material performance and real applications meet.”

Before joining CelluXtreme, Tanja gained research experience through an internship at KI’s Dagliyan Lab. Together with her studies in biomedicine, this has strengthened her analytical approach and understanding of how experimental work supports development. At CelluXtreme, she contributes to testing, analytics and production-related work that helps move materials from development steps toward customer-relevant solutions.

Her broader interest in dietary choices, the gut-brain axis and the connection between human and environmental health reflects a curiosity for systems and long-term impact. For CelluXtreme, that mindset adds value in the lab: understanding details, seeing connections and contributing to sustainable material solutions beyond individual tests.
